One of 2014’s most talked about artists, Meghan Trainor, is definitely about more than just bass as she just released her first album titled ‘Title on January 13th, 2015!
After listening to some of Meghan’s work, it’s very clear that she has heavy oldies influence along with a little bit of today’s style thrown in….which we ADORE!! The harmonies Trainor includes in almost every one of her songs brings this generation some connection with oldies hit makers such as The Drifters, The Temptations, or The Four Tops. Meghan has this comedic way of writing what every girl is thinking in their lives at some point by including some sexual innuendo’s thrown in at the most perfect times; she’s basically Superwoman because she’s the hero of every woman since she speaks her mind and is committed to making sure women are treated right.
Trainor’s new album completely dominated the hits charts the first week it was released and included hit songs such as “All About That Bass” and “Lips Are Movin”. Included on the record were up tempo jams along with some slower love songs; all I can say is every song was definitely hand picked for this album and the songs were married together perfectly.
‘Title’ includes 11 songs and the deluxe edition includes 15 (HIGHLY recommend getting the deluxe). John Legend even had to get some action on Trainor’s album as he cut the song “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” with her. Also, the way Trainor organized her album tracks the whole project tells a story which leaves you wanting to listen to the next song off the album and so on. My personal favorites off the record are “Title”, “Credit”, and “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” so make sure to especially check those ones out!
Meghan also has a song coming out with Atlantic recording artist Charlie Puth in February called “Marvin Gaye”, keep a look out for that!
